What does "transgendered" mean? Is it both male and female body parts, gay, lesbian? Serious question.

A transgendered person is none of the other answers. There is no requirement for surgery, and cross dressing does not qualify.
A transgendered person is usually diagnosed with gender disphoria: they feel inside like they are the opposite gender and that their exterior physical characteristics (especially genitalia) do not match their interior feelings.
Many transgendered people do go through surgery, but not all. Surgery is actually very expensive. Those that do opt for surgery have expressed relief that they can finally live the life externally that they felt internally, however they must constantly take hormones in order to keep from regressing.
People who cross dress are transvestites. They enjoy wearing the opposite gender's clothing but do not necessarily wish to become the opposite gender through surgery. Some straight men cross dress, and some gay men perform as drag queens but neither condition means for certain that they wish to live their lives as women.

Transgendered, when you break it down, simply means "beyond gender". This is because transgender is an umbrella term encompassing those who do not fit into the two-gender identity system that we have in place. It encompasses a lot of different people.
Transsexuals are transgendered people who do not feel that the sex they were born with is the proper one, and so have this reassigned.
An intersexual is a person who was born with both male and female genitals (they are also sterile as a result of the way they were born).
Many, but not all, gays and lesbians are transgender if they consider their gender identity to transcend traditional identities. Crossdressers are considered transgender only if they see the crossdressing as a part of their identity and not as "transvestitic fetishism" (that's just a fetish).
Transgender also includes androgynes (those who feel they have both a male and female identity, a mixture of the two, or neither of them) and genderqueers (similar to androgynes, but is a combination of gender identity and sexual orientation).

There is no one answer for your question. Some people are attracted to a female's breast size, some are attracted to a man's muscle tone, and someone with a foot fetish would be attracted to the appearance of another person's feet. Other than individuals with a particular fetish, I think the majority of people actually take the 'whole package' into perspective. Many people will say 'I was drawn to their eyes', but in reality, regardless of how attractive a person's eyes are, if the rest of their appearance isn't appealing to you, you won't find the person attractive. The most singular item that tends to make a person attractive is their attitude. Someone that may not be considered physically gorgeous by the majority of people may have an attitude that makes them appealing, and attractive, to most of the people they meet. Conversely, a person with a physical appearance that is considered perfect by our standards may have an attitude that drives people away. A person that is stuck up or vain is seldom attractive to anyone, regardless of their physical appearance. As far as physical attributes go, most people that do make some effort to stay in shape usually tend to have a more positive attitude about their appearance, and this tends to make them more attractive to others regardless of whether or not their body is considered perfect by society's standards.

Transgender is a catch all term, it can be used for transsexuals, either male to female or female to male, those transitioning from one sex to another, those who feel they were born the wrong sex, bigendered which are people born with both sexual organs, ect. typical gay, or lesbian is a whole different thing than the transgender.

A trans gender person is someone who has had surgery to remove the sex organs they were born with and implant those of the opposite sex in their body.
