I answer mostly for the Vegetarian/Vegan, Pet and GLBT section. Vegan: I was a vegetarian for a while, and then became a vegan. I don't tell others what they can or can't eat, and most wouldn't even know I'm a vegan because I don't go out of my way to bring it up. I dislike all the confrontation and conflict that arises. I don't eat meat, dairy, or eggs. So what? XD PET: I own a 2 year old Chow Chow mix rescue, and a 10 month old GSD mix, 3 cats, 1 rabbit and 2 hermit crabs. I mostly like writing answers for opinion or personal questions, as I'm not an expert, LOL. I do however work at the local Humane Society. GLBT: I'm a pansexual woman, I like guys, girls, crossdressers, transgenders, pre-op and post-op, androgynous people, intersexed, genderfucked, both and neither. Anything goes with love, ;) I'm also out of the closet and try to stay as up to date as possible, I'm a bit of an activist, LOL. Good luck with your question

  • Is there a way to randomize a list in Word?

So, I'm making two quizzes, but using the same questions. Is there a way for Word to randomize the questions/bullets for me? Just to make it a little harder to cheat, but still have both quizzes be fair.

    Thanks!

  • How much space should I give my rhubarb?

I planted rhubarb a couple years, and am just wondering how much space I should give around it so that I don't disturb the roots when planting other crops.

  • Average age a breeder lets a kitten go home at?

I've been looking around for a Norwegian Forest Cat breeder and noticed that a lot of them have their kittens go home around 14 to 16 weeks. I know in puppies it's usually 8 to 10 weeks.

The shelter up here adopts kittens out as young as 8 weeks. I'm just wondering what the norm is and what the benefits are for a breeder to hold kittens longer before placing.

    Thank you!

  • How can a convert a .wmv video to a .mov, .mpg, or .flv?

I made a movie in Windows Live Movie Maker and tried to upload it to a website. Even though the site accepted my other .wmv video it says to try converting it to another format like, .mov, .mpg, or .flv. I tried to figure out how to do it, but couldn't, haha.

How can I convert a finished movie make in Windows Live Movie Maker to something else?

    Thank you!

  • Ideas for quarantining a stray, pregnant cat?

Long story short, there's an abandoned, stray cat in my neighborhood. She's extremely friendly and sociable, so I plan on bringing her home with me so that she can deliver her kittens in a safe place. I plan on adopting the kittens out only to approved homes as indoor, neutered cats. I also hope I can adopt out the mother after I have her spayed, but realistically she will probably take longer to adopt out than the kittens, and she'll probably grow on me in the meantime.

However, I have two dogs, two cats, and a rabbit. The dogs and cats have free roam over my house except for my bedroom, and my rabbit is free-roam in my bedroom. Because I don't want to stress this cat out by forcing her to tolerate and mingle with the other cats and dogs while she is pregnant, I want to keep her in my room. At the same time, I recognize that my rabbit is a prey animal, and that while my own cats have never hurt my rabbit, this cat may not feel the same way.

So, how best to quarantine this cat in my room, so that she is both comfortable, and all of the animals are safe.

I'm considering building something using cubes and zipties, like these...

    http://www.binkybunny.com/BUNNYINFO/CoolHabitats/t...

But I've only ever found cubes online, so it may take me a while to get them.

Or, I could buy a pen like these...

    http://www.amazon.com/Wildwhiskers-Outdoor-Feline-...

    http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display...

But I want a cheaper option...

What do you think? Any cheaper options? Any ideas?

  • How do the British pronounce "not"?

I am trying to learn Magyar/Hungarian, and it says that "a" sounds like Brit 'o' in 'not'.

Could you put it in terms of another word, or spell it using other letters? It's not like "ay" right? Is it like the 'a' in "happy" or "father" or something else?

    Thank you!

  • A question for Christians...?

First let me say that this question is in no way meant as a joke or to belittle anyone's religious/spiritual beliefs.

In the Bible, it seems like some of God's Laws don't have a reason or a very good one. I haven't read it, but isn't there a law about not eating shellfish, not wearing clothes from two different materials, etc?

So my question is, does God have a reason for these laws? The way I look at it, there are a few ways it could go...

    A) God has a reason for every law, and if you look/pray/etc you can find it.

    B) God has a reason, but we may never know what it is.

    C) God doesn't need/have a reason, but should still be obeyed.

    D) God doesn't need/have a reason, and thus these laws don't need to be obeyed.

    E) God had a reason, but it no longer applies.

    What do you think?

  • What is "Kid" material in shoes?

Okay, I know I worded it awkwardly but I didn't know how else to phrase it.

I was looking at a pair of shoes online, and it says they are made out of "Kid". What is that?

  • What is it called when men marry women similar to their moms?

I think it's some theory about how we pick a mate, etc, but a man's ideal woman is often similar to his mom, while a woman's ideal man is often similar to her dad-- what is this called?

  • What is this cardio machine?

They had it at my old club, but I haven't seen one like it at the new club I'm now going to. I'm not sure what it was called, so maybe you can help me out.

It was big, tall. You step onto large "pedals" that are held over around a foot over the ground. You can march in place, or jog, or do a full out sprint. It had a built in heart rate monitor. I loved it because I could get my heart rate pumping LONG before my legs even felt it. It took a lot of the strain off of my legs and knees.

    Any ideas?

  • How can I get my rose bush to bloom this year?

I haven't had roses for the past 2 years, and I miss them, :( I'm not sure what kind they are, they came with the home.

They are beside a Kerria Japonica "Pleniflora". I wonder if the roses aren't getting enough water because the Pleniflora is so very, very big. I also haven't ever trimmed it. If you think trimming could help it bloom could you please tell me how that is done or provide a link to a good guide.

Perhaps it's the quality of the soil. My soil is mostly sand, but they have bloomed in the past so I know they're capable. I start a compost pile every year, but I fear that I won't have good compost until it's too late for this year.

    Any ideas?

  • Is it safe to get rid of this hornet nest in winter?

I have a hornet nest in my backyard. I don't know what kind of hornets, but I live in NH so our winters are very cold. Can I just... get rid of this hornet nest? Are there any inside that are going to wake up and attack me?

For personal reasons I've avoided using a spray to kill them, but I'd really like them gone. I've heard most die before winter and there is only the queen inside...? What do you think? Safe to pull it off?

  • Is there a poll/study/known percentage that shows the religions of GLBT people?

It's seems that most GLBT people I speak with are atheist, a few are Buddhist. I'm just curious to see what are the most common religions practiced in the GLBT community.

When I tried to google this for myself I didn't find much except for a site claiming that over half of all child murderers and rapists are gay. I kind of quit after that, o_0

  • Good hostage movies, like John Q and The Town?

I love action movies with hostages. Things like John Q, and I liked The Town. Can anyone recommend movies where the "bad" guy takes hostages? I also like it if the hostages then side with the hostage taker (like in John Q.).

    Thank you!

  • If you were in Jurassic Park, what would be your favorite part?

Assuming that the park was functioning, and "safe".

For instance, I think the Aviary is a pretty incredible idea. If it weren't for the Pterodactyls being territorial, I think it would be the best part really. Watching these incredible animals, fly and dive around you, plus I like the imagery of a giant birdcage.

But my favorite dinosaur is the Triceratops, with the Brachiosaurus coming in as a close second. I... uh... used to watch a lot of Land Before Time when I was kid, hahaha!

  • Why am I redirected from EVERY website I try to go to?

If I do a google search, say for "dogs" and I click the link to go to a webpage I am redirected to random websites. At first they had similar key words, like it would be a website selling dog tags, but now they're completely random. At first I could right click and open in a new tab and it wouldn't do it, but now it still redirects. The only time it doesn't redirect is if I copy/paste or type the address. It happens every single time now, and the websites are completely random- why do I get the feeling that it's gotten more effective?

Oh, and if I click the inverted triangle to see my back pages, it says "Redirect"

    WTF?

    Can you help me out?
