Why aren't we 'allowed' to have hair on our skin?

I am a mammal. I don't think God made a mistake when s/he made me. I like all my hair, too. I get nasty comments, but I haven't shaved in years. It only smells bad if you let it get dirty. I am in total agreement with you. But be prepared for unkind comments, especially at the beach. You can go against the social norms, if you wish, but I guarantee it'll cost you. Only the very strong-willed can do it successfully. The reward is in being your own person and not a slave to fashion. Just be prepared. There are a lot of rude people of both sexes out there. I guess it's because society has created an image that women should be clean, pure, and beautiful. Its ok for men to be dirty, hairy, and smelly. But since the media and large corporations created this typical woman image, they can sell products which make women think it will make them pretty. So hair on women, in today's society is not socially appealing; men and other women may think it is gross.

Be a rebel and grow a beard! Some guys cannot. Now's the time to try it if you never have. You may have noticed a lot of guys growing goatee's. They are fun to trim and shape. There is an endless variety of goatee and sideburn combinations that can suit your personality or attitude.

well for ladies u cant have hair on ure skin becaz its unladie like. i mean u dont want to be like a guy with big hairy legs. and underarm hair and a mustahe. ick lol. but stay without the hair =)

No one said you weren't allowed to. Most people just prefer it not be there, that's all. If you like it, then good on ya! That's what I love about America. Everyone's got their own opinion and freedom of how to live how they feel is right. It's fantastic.

It's a cultural manifestation. Deal with it. Do you really want a girl with hair all over her legs and arm pits?

I don't like hairy legs & armpits, it's too uncomfortable for me,so I shave, but that's my opinion. If you don't wanna shave, then don't. It's your body, do what you want with it.

im with you - but i sort of like to be hairless - it makes me sorta stinky when i go into hair modes. and i guess if i want to do it i have to be hairless. ha ha
