Object transiting the sun?

I was watching the sun through a 4.5 -inch reflectng telescope when a round (spherical) object passed in front of the sun. It was perhaps a quarter the sun's diameter and took about ten seconds to complete a transit. Any ideas on what it was?

A planet wouldn't go that fast, nor would it be that big. Venus would appear to be about the size of a pea. It might have been a satellite, it sounds about right for the time, but I'm really guessing on that.

Could have been a satellite or else perhaps a planet happened to be passing by; Venus or Mercury, maybe.

If it was a planet would it have really been going that fast?
