  • Spyware. How stupid do you have to be?

Is anyone stupid enough to reply to Zwinky or Adult Friend Finder? These are obvious scams, no doubt riddled with spyware and just wanting to take your money. How about Party Poker? Does anyone seriously think this is a legitimate site? A fool and his money are soon parted. Would you, like me, advise anyone who listens to avoid these sites? How about Oingo Boingo? How stupid would someone have to be to actually log onto that site? Would you advise a firing squad for the administrators of these sites?

  • Freedom from religion?

Is there any hope that mankind will finally break free from the slavery and evil of religion and become the people we really could be, enjoying peace and harmony without the hatred and prejudice that all religions foster? What I'm asking, I guess, is are we ever going to grow up?

  • Widescreen keeps crashing?

I just got a new Acer x203w widescreen monitor and it keeps crashing to a blue screen with the error code 0x000000ea. I have an XP system with 2 gig of ram, an ATI Radeon X700 using VGA output. It does have DVI capability. I've adjust my display to 1600x1200 from the 1024x768 I was using with my old monitor but the only way I can get it to boot is in safe mode. Is it my XP OS or is it my ATI card? I downloaded the latest drivers for the video card but no drivers came with the monitor. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

  • Death Penalty too good for 'em?

Does anyone besides me think that the lowlifes who create spam, malware, adware, spyware and viruses should be put to death? I mean, who needs 'em? It's not like they serve some purpose. Even mosquitoes serve a purpose. Do you think it bothers them that they're lower than mosquitoes? If you saw one on some lonely highway, would you turn your wheel a tenth of a degree to avoid hitting one? I wouldn't.

  • computer rebooting?

What's up with my computer? It keeps rebooting itself at random as if I'd hit the reset button. It's driving me crazy.

  • Missing Files on DVD?

Okay so I needed some room on my HD. I packed all my pictures (jpegs) into one directory (several hundred) and then drag and dropped them into the DVD root directory. Now the computer says that DVD is blank even though you can tell by looking at it that it's been burned. What gives? It was a fresh DVD.

  • PC memory question?

The book for my MoBo says it uses memory in the PC300 format. Are there other formats compatible with this or does it have to be PC300?

  • Questions on the moon landings?

I was just wondering how many more "educationally challenged" people out there are going to keep asking about the moon landings. Any half-wit with even a smattering of physics knowledge knows that they HAD to have been on the moon. Every argument I've heard that it was all faked is so full of holes and lacking even a basic knowledge of physics. I wish these people would turn off the video games and TV and CRACK A FRIGGIN' BOOK once in a while. Jeez!

  • time and space?

If matter and energy are just variations on the same thing (ie you can convert one into the other) then doesn't it follow that time and space are just the same thing? It gets a little hazy here but couldn't we convert time into space and vice versa? I can't help thinking about these things. I need a life.

  • Change in internal diameter due to temperature increase.?

If I heat up a metal pipe the metal expands at a rate of 0.000006 inches per inch per Farenheit degree. The outside diameter will increase but what will the ID do? If the metal is expanding in all directions shouldn't the ID decrease?

  • Who needs mosquitos?

What I want to know is if we could find a way to make mosquitos extinct would it be a major ecological disaster? These are by far the most dangerous creatures on the planet. Is there any other creature or plant that depends exclusively on these little buggers?

  • Object transiting the sun?

I was watching the sun through a 4.5 -inch reflectng telescope when a round (spherical) object passed in front of the sun. It was perhaps a quarter the sun's diameter and took about ten seconds to complete a transit. Any ideas on what it was?
