Questions on the moon landings?

Still there are some people out there that don’t believe that the US actually landed on the Moon.

The problem with conspiracies is that, like you said, they don’t hold water. In the case of the moon landing the Soviet Union was watching the entire thing like a hawk. They had observer planes based in Cuba to watch the launch, and they had radar equipped fishing boats observing the splash down. In the meantime they had excellent telescopes watching the travels of the Apollo, and they had satellites in orbit around both the Earth and the Moon that were capable of checking what was going on. Back then the Soviets were the mortal enemy of the US, the Russian Premier Khrushchev said he was going to destroy the West and take over the entire world (and then spread communism to North Korea, China and Cuba). Khrushchev even planned on beating the US to the Moon and if that couldn’t be done he told his rocket scientists that he wanted them to paint the Moon red.

Now just think of what the Soviets would have done if they found the US had NOT visited the Moon. If the Soviets could catch the US in such a huge lie then they would have announced that to the entire world. The fact that they didn’t even try shows that they knew the US had so much proof of the Moon landings that it would be futile to even try to deny it.

While I am busting conspiracies lets look at the spaceship crash in Roswell New Mexico. People think that only generals and colonels handled the crash remains. I was in the Army so I know that officers that high only tell lower officers what to do, who then tell their Sergeants what to do, who then tell the privates how to do it. Also officers and sergeants don’t pull guard duty, privates (or in this case airmen) do that. So a lot of people saw those remains and a lot of people had a chance to pick up a souvenir from that crash.

Now it is years later and those people are out of the service. They signed documents to not discuss what was deemed classified, but we know many people who have ignored those laws. Besides could you be able to ignore payments of 10 million dollars from the tabloids? That’s how much a story from a real witness would pay, and those souvenirs would fetch tens of millions of dollars if they ever came to light. Yet, there have been no credible reports from these service men. No credible souvenirs have appeared either. In fact the idea of the Roswell Crash is considered to be so foolish that main stream media won’t even touch the idea. I am talking about the same media that broke Watergate wide open; that has uncovered countless evidences of fraud, waste and abuse, in the US government. These are the same media that uncovered the Iran-Contra deal to try and get the hostages out of Iran. If there were any proof then surely it would have surfaced by now.

I trust in the saying, “It is possible for two people to keep a secret, if one of them is dead.” When you draw hundreds of people into the conspiracy then it is bound to fail and there will be leaks. We see these leaks often in the US Capitol. Lets turn to another world. Look at all those modern religious figures who have fallen from grace. They can’t even use the tremendous power of religion to keep the secret quite.

Secrets are possible, but very hard to keep. The bigger the secret the harder it is to keep. And the greater the reward is for reviling that secret the tougher it is to keep. Look at one of the most secret projects the US has ever had; the F-117 Nighthawk, the Stealth Fighter. The secret around the project was tight. The government doesn’t just keep people out of the area they use electronic systems and track anyone in the area. The US Government denies the existence of area 51. The civilian work force was not only sworn to secrecy, but they were flown in and out of the base each day to keep the secret. Nope this program was entirely hidden, except from the hundreds of UFO watchers that watched the base and reported on the strange lights flying at night. Since the only thing that would betray the Nighthawk at night would be those lights it is pretty easy to see why they were observed, and mistaken as UFOs.

Conspiracies do exist, but far fewer than most people believe.

I think reporting those answers wouldn't be much use. There's a right to freedom of speech. Don't get me wrong, mate, but I wish NASA would really come up with a way to shut the mouths of people who get such ridiculous ideas. And yes, that's a good idea, creating a section for conspiracy theorists. And no, there will always be some nut cases who keep on flogging the same old dead horses. If you don't answer those questions, then someone else will ask some question again. Forget it. Just ignore them, maybe Y!A will create the new section.

I was there when Apollo 11 took off. I was inside the capsul of apollo 14 and later worked on the space shuttle.

As for the shadows, the light given off by the earths reflection is bright enough to cast shadows. There also were gases venting from the LEM that caused temporary wind effects.

Of course, because we all know that thousands of people are capable of keeping a secret this big for 40 years, and that Russia, who would have a lot to gain for calling us out over a fake, completely ignored all of this "obvious" evidence. Please.

People who believe that we didn't land on the moon are either really easily fooled or just lack basic intelligence. There is not one shred of evidence that I've ever seen to say they were faked that isn't highly speculative, completely wrong, or easily refuted.

TV wasn't yet able to fake such a thing as live landings on the moon. The crosshairs were edited out after the fact for clarity. Yes, they really were there. A good telescope can see the lander and moon ATV they left behind.

You need to look at the evidence. The videos of the moon landing show that the shadows are in the wrong place for it to be caused by the sun (studio lights) and many other inconsistences.

The idiots of the world want to prove our Government liars at any cost.

look close at the all the pictures taken of the moon landing. there is something wrong in all of them. like the 2 suns, cross hairs (to allign pics) not threw everything, and the same rock at diffrent sites. than think and ask again.
