Freedom from religion?
Is there any hope that mankind will finally break free from the slavery and evil of religion and become the people we really could be, enjoying peace and harmony without the hatred and prejudice that all religions foster? What I'm asking, I guess, is are we ever going to grow up?

Perhaps they should adopt the slavery and evil of communism or fascism, which are both atheist ideologies.
There was sarcasm in there for those who can't tell.

Actually, I am coming to believe instead of getting rid of religion (which will never happen) Maybe, we need more religion.
I know it sounds crazy, but the biggest problem is having large groups of people who all believe the same thing. This causes an in and out crowd that we find in American High schools.
If there is no dominant religion, there can never be anyone who is in or out, just many different people who will actually have to take the time to know and understand each other until they find some other reason to hate each other.
Even if religion were gone, people will find a reason to not like each other. I think that's what happens when your only natural predator is your own kind.

ALL religions don't foster hatred and prejudice, I am not a slave and not subject to "evil" (I don't buy into the whole evil bs). Within my religion I have peace and harmony.
If your directing this to a specific religion why not call them out, that would be the "grown up" thing to do.

Religion teaches good. The only pain and suffering it brings is from the people that use it from evil. I mean there are tons of hate crimes so should race be banned?

Some countries in Europe, like Sweden, are majority non-theist. They also have a much lower crime rate and higher standard of living. Some day I hope America will grow up too.

very Good question: The entire human race will enjoy the fruits of Humanity.. the day will come, just wait . The entire humanity to raise in such level that they will call each other every one as MASTER. one should forget his individuality whether he belongs to such and such group, area, male ,woman, region country etc.....

Probably not. Man has always found something to worship....even if it was originally the sun. So even if the vast majority of the world no longer worships the god of Abraham (the same way people stopped worshiping Apollo as the god of the sun) they'll just find another "god" to praise. *sigh*

When people are in hell for eternity, they will be free from religion. It is then that they will wish they had believed and not allowed satan to deceive them.
