PC memory question?
The book for my MoBo says it uses memory in the PC300 format. Are there other formats compatible with this or does it have to be PC300?

Try this page to determine your true RAM specs, and what you can do to upgrade, if possible.

These guys are major manufacturers of RAM and this tool is invaluable in determining exactly what you need and how much your motherboard can handle.
And, yes, you need to stick with EXACTLY what your motherboard manual says it can handle, for the most part....
However, one exception is if you have 100 MHz RAM, it's not made anymore, but 133 MHz RAM is made to be compatible with 100 MHz chips that may already be in your RAM slots and will "drop down" to match the speed of what's in your computer..... so, no need to chuck the old ones.
