Missing Files on DVD?

Okay so I needed some room on my HD. I packed all my pictures (jpegs) into one directory (several hundred) and then drag and dropped them into the DVD root directory. Now the computer says that DVD is blank even though you can tell by looking at it that it's been burned. What gives? It was a fresh DVD.

    Kev,

I might be wrong here regarding your issue.. but...

Have you actually burnt the files, or dropped them for burning? Windows allows you to drop files onto the DVD Drive, which are then ready for burning. These files can be seen on your computer but havent been burnt onto the dvd yet. Hence your DVD is still actually empty. You need to burn them.

"right-click on the drive’s icon and take Write files to CD"
