I have boxes of family photos that I would like to scan, organize and burn to Cd's.?

Can anyone suggest a good program that I can get, or give me instructions on the easiest way to do this. I want to put them on cd's so I can give my son's and brother copies. Sort of a photo family history, on disc. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

Update:

I have a scanner, creating keepsakes program, photosmart, and the kodak easy share. All came with the computer or camera.

Use whichever program you find easiest to clean up old photos (I took out scratches and dust when I scanned mine - as best I could anyways.) It's a great thing to do and I have been able to share my photos that way. Some of my family photos I have done are on my 360 page.

I used a combination of Adobe Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro to do my pics but that is what I have on my computer. Your burner program should have a program to put them together. I use Roxio and it puts my photos into a little book format when burned so that when someone opens it on their computer they can turn the pages to look at a new picture.

Good luck in your efforts. You will find it well worth it preserving your photos electronically.

Sounds like you have it all together there. My Kodak easy share camrea software came with a burning option .. if that is what you were wondering about... if yours doesnt I would suggest Nero burning software. Adobe makes decent programs too.. That is what I use at my Mum's for scanning and editing pictures.

The Kodak programs I found were very easy to use you should have no problems... just follow their instructions as you go step by step.

That is a very good idea that you have there. i would like to do that also :)
