For Girls: anyone with a hormonal imbalance get pregnant?

my fiancee has a hormonal imbalance where she gets her menstrual cycle twice a month, usually lasts about 5 days at a time. we havent talked to an OB yet, but in november we will be trying to conceive. i was curious if theres any girls out there with a similar condition who have conceived? she was on Diane-35 to control her cycles as an adolescent and shes worried that it may have affected her fertility.

yep.....I had to go on the pill for about a year to get regulated...then after that I was ok. Then I got pregnant after I went off. I am now pregnant with my 4th....so yes it is soo possible!!

Yes it can happen - I ended up pregnant with a similar condition.

I was diagnosed with "Bilateral Ovulation Disorder" meaning that I (typically) ovulate from one or both ovaries every month, and end up having VERY irregular menstrual patterns. In a case like this, you just keep trying (because, hey, you've got 2x the chances of hitting a fertile period!), or you can talk to a fertility specialist and they may be able to regulate her cycle with synthetic hormones and get her to ovulate on a predictable cycle.

    Good luck!

hormonal imbalances do have an effect on fertility. the first thing i would recommend is having a consultation with her gynocologist NOW. she will more than likely be put on birth control for short periods of time (one month taking pills, two months off...). this will HOPEFULLY regulate the system...

it IS possible that she does ovulate even with the short cycles BUT, there is no way for conception efforts to result in a viable pregnancy when the luteal phase is less than 12 days (12 days of cycle left AFTER ovulation has taken place). short luteal phases result in miscarriage! short luteal phase is the result of a (guess what?) hormone imbalance.

i would recommend that she start charting her basal body temperature now. this is her resting temp every morning BEFORE she gets out of bed. vaginal temperatures are the less variable type. she will start to see a pattern to her cycle.

SHE NEEDS to see a doctor now if she would like to start with conception efforts in 4 months.

oh, and about diane-35. it is a contraceptive. it prevents pregnancy and is also OCCASSIONALLY used to clear up acne. it's still used today... it's just a less commonly used type. it should not in ANY WAY effect fertility.

set up an appointment to see the gyno for a consult and do what ever they suggest. and be prepared for the doctor to suggest birth control pills for SHORT periods of time (one month here... one month there...).

BEST OF LUCK in your conception efforts!

this can look somewhat unusual, and also you may ask your surgeon/look it up on-line. HCG is a being pregnant hormone, you ought to have it on your body to help a healthful being pregnant and for being pregnant to be detected. there is such ingredient as a HCG antibody, that can from time to time be in vaccines, and could effect some human beings. truly what this can propose is the antibody is making an attempt to wrestle off the HCG hormones and for some reason, which idk, the hormones gained't take position on a try. So she ought to correctly be prego (and this could also, no longer be her situation) and the checks will all come decrease back unfavorable. in fact, from time to time even blood checks come decrease back unfavorable. yet i ought to look up on-line and observe what you imagine, then pass communicate which includes her dr. she will be able to get examined for HCG antibodies, and if she has them, be dealt with for them. If she does have an antibody to it, and he or she is pregnant, her body will wrestle off the HCG and ultimately abort the baby. Cuz that is viewing the HCG as a overseas merchandise. Kinda like you get a mumps shot, and the mumps antibody fights off the mumps ailment? Thats how the HCG antibody works. So, i ought to def look into this quickly and quick--ust in case she is pregnant. i wish each and every thing is going properly and also you men can figure this out. :)
