I had never heard of Morgellon's Disease before reading your question. It's quite frightening that we aren't educated about a disease that has such awful effects. It's scary that there are so many unknowns (the cause, the treatment, whether it's contagious). I hope that public knowledge increases, and in turn, that funding for research increases, so that we can figure this thing out.

Medicine is a money making industry. There aren't enough people with this disease to make it worth the time and money it would take to find treatments or possibly a cure. Unfortunately it's about the money. I have a common disease and my medication is $1500.00. All sorts of expensive treatments but there will be no cure. Too much money is being made off of us. Luckily I have insurance.
