Does anyone have experience with a program that catalogs classical music cd's in a personal collecton?

I have thousands of classical cd's. I want to catalog them by period, composer and genre. I picture a relational database program with separate files for composers including period, works (since I have a number of duplicates), performers (since one performer can be on many cd's. I would like the ability to add my own fields and to editi repsonses since the results of web catalogs is often inaccurate.

Have you had good experience with a cataloging program?

Well I've done my fair share of databasing in the past (cataloging). I used Microsoft Access, but has a high learning curve, so I'd recommend a program like Filemaker Pro.
