How can I add highlights to my own hair without help, especially the back of my head-hard to see back there.?
I am on limited income and it is expensive to have my hair done at a salon. I like having streaks in my hair. I add streaks to my own hair but every time I have problem with the back of my hair. I dont like using a cap because I poke my scalp too much. Please help me with some ideas. Thank you.

Hey, try adjusting a two mirror combination [one in front of you and one behind you, like in a saloon] so that you can see the behind of your head, then you can colour it with ease.
I do it the same way, but remember you gotta know about angles and which way to turn the mirror to get the perfect view!!!

When you highlight your hair, start in the back and work from bottom
to top and have a hand mirror close so you can look to make sure thats how you want it. when your done with the back proceed to the front and that also help make it alot less messy.. Another fun idea is to have a friend help you, like a girls night kinda thing with facials and at home pedicures/manicures. And if she dyes her hair too you can help also.

i no this sounds cheap but it isn't! go to food line in the hair section and get some highlights but make sure u get the one that comes wit a cap put the cap on and pull ur through the hole then stick a mirror behind you head and do the back! it will turn out perfect!

I would have a Friend I trust come over and help me! its easier that way... unless you dont trust any one with your hair and thats totally understandable!!!! Good Luck!!!!!!!
