Best Rock 'n Roll Band in Rock 'n Roll History?

The Beatles. No other band had total dominance over the rock genre for such a long period as the Beatles did, and I think they've produced the most prolific and diverse catalogue of hits out of any group. Sure there are bands that have been chugging along for a long time, like The Stones and Aerosmith, but for the better part of a decade, the Beatles were just defining pop music consistently and producing albums loaded with hits every single year. Back in the 60s, there was always Beatles songs at the top of the charts. And their songs are everywhere. So yeah, I'm goin with the Beatles on this one. Not necessarily my FAVORITE band, but in terms of standing out from the crowd, I have no question in my mind about this one.

Rolling Stones. Still going strong.

in my opinion, i love the 20 minute guitar solos... yet i'm no longer a punk man or woman. The Ramones are truly the purely punk band i love, so I agree that they were very resourceful and massive musicians.

Unquestionably the almighty Led Zeppelin the only real question is by how far ?

Aerosmith-They rock hard and have for years and are still rocking many years later.
