I'm kind of new at this precious metals thing, but I know the difference between bullion and numismatic coins. What are some of the advantages and disadvantages of collecting both. . .or just one kind, i.e., bullion? Do numismatic coins need to be graded in order to sell for any kind of profit? I have done a lot of research and have come up with so many differing viewpoints. . . I am getting confused. Is there a real battleplan I can follow, or do I just need to go with my gut feeling?

I taught school for 14 years, and on average, 70% of my students entering middle school could not write a cogent sentence--much less a paragraph. This was in an upscale area of the country!

Another example: Twice my bank has either lost one of my deposited checks or lost me entirely in their system as I was attempting to move my funds from northern to southern CA. I was left without money for over a week and had to take out a cash advance on one of my credit cards.

Are we living in a country of semi-illiterates?

I'm kind of inexperienced when it comes to booze so this is kind of embarrassing. I opened a bottle of wine with my fancy corkscrew (the kind with the handles that go out as you screw in, then push the handles down and the cork comes out) and did it flawlessly. Now, I can't get the %^$& cork off the corkscrew and I'm expecting company which means more wine. Help!

Rock made its debut in the states in the 1950s. Each decade has produced an evolution of the musical form. But who stands out from the crowd? Any and all responses welcome. There is no right or wrong. The only thing I ask is that you explain why you feel your band is the best.

I have only been a member of "Answers" for a short time, and when I see a legitimate question, I try to do my best to answer. However, most of the questions I see are filled with cyber shorthand, and so many misspellings that I wonder if answering is even worthwhile. I'm visiting the Dallas area in a couple of weeks, and I'm staying at a hotel in Irving. It's a business trip so I won't have a lot of free time. I'm just looking forward to sitting down and enjoying some good southern cookin'!

I plan to do some traveling this summer and want to capture a little of Americana in pictures. . .maybe even sell a few to some obscure magazine. I do good digital photography, but my camera is pretty basic. Any information I can get would be appreciated. Cost is not a huge factor, but I don't want to spend thousands. . .hundreds is OK (g).

When we have a chronic illness (one that cannot be cured but will still allow us to live a normal lifespan) friends and family want to help. Do they help, or do they frustrate the muggerwumps out of you?
