internet bar?

The Large red Yahoo "Y! >>". When I click the ">>" the "Recent Searches" pulls up and I want the list removed. How?

    Try this, go to tools, internet options and clear files and cookies then clear history

    click on pencil icon(next 2 red yahoo icon) than select clear recent search
