Would you say "I am a body" or "I have a body" and why?

To say "I am a body" implies that this is all you are. To say "I have a body" suggests that you are more than simply a body -- and indeed, you are. You are a thinking, sentient creature, who organizes, assesses and contributes to the world around you. If you were simply a body, you would not be able to create music, or dances, write stories, or in any way employ an imagination, because bodies don't have imaginations. Nor could you express curiosity, as you have in this question, because bodies aren't curious.
For these reasons, my choice is "I have a body".

I would say that I have a body because it's my mind that defines who I am, and what I can do. Anyone that says different doesn't respect themselves.

I would say both ways
'I am a body' with a soul ..to say that I am alive.
'I have a body' which feels pain and pleasure, happiness and sorrow. ..to make others understand 'treat me good, I am not dead!!'
