Which would you end up doing on the Airplane?
Would you rather drink a load of alcohol to get numb from anxiety/fear of flying or would you take a good dosage of sleeping pill (xanax, etc.)
Or suggest your own opinion.
Destination : Australia from the US (about 15 hours)...
so i can't really take a ship lol but thanks for that suggestion

Xanax. Can't fly without it.

Well, being at a higher altitude thins your blood and makes you more susceptbile to the effects of alcohol. Drinking even a couple if you have moderate tolerance can get you embarrassingly drunk. This causes a number of problems. First, do you really want to end up barfing in an air sickness bag? You'll get it all over yourself, the poor sucker sitting beside you, and generally not feel well. Second, remember that airlines have a zero tolerance policy for everything now so if you decide, in your intoxicated state, to get even a little rowdy you'll likely wind up spending a night in airport lock-up and pay some hefty fines for "terrorism." And third, you are very susceptible to alcohol poisoning because your tolerance in the air is nowhere near what it is on the ground.
Therefore, I would take half a sleeping pill and wash it down with WATER.

Read a Book, listen to Walkman, watch Portable DVD player and maybe take a Sleeping Pill.

I'm not really scared of flying. I just get bored and my legs feel cramped. I like to listen to an iPod while reading, cross and uncross my legs, let my mind wander, and have peanuts with apple juice because they go really well together.

actually, Ambien makes you sleep better for long flights and it's easy and legal to get. I've known people who have done both... sometimes seperate and sometimes together... Try taking someone with you who you like to talk to, or start swapping stories with one of your neighbors.. I've done them all, and sleeping is the best.

I would take the train, or a ship, if going over water.
