what is the 3 biggest problems facing soiciety today?

off the top of my head:

racism, poverty, and war

Racism,religion,and President Bush

ignorance, apathy, and religous fundamentalism

Ignorance because if you are misinformed, actions you take on that misinformation will be misguided and your good intentions will go awry.

Apathy because if you don't care about important issues, you will not educate yourself properly, you do not care about anything that does not directly affect you, and you can be easily taken advantage of and be led like a lamb to the slaughter. You won't know until it's too late (this happened in the lead-up to WWII in europe)

Religious fundamentalism because fundamentalists believe that the advancement of their cause is more important than anything, even their own life (would you die for your religion?). From there, it's not a large leap to make the advancement of your cause more important than _others'_ lives. (would you kill if God asked you to? What if the pope, God's spokesman on earth, asked you to, in the name of God?) Also, compromise, the stuff that societies are built on, is impossible for fundamentalists.

Ignorance, Intolerance and Injustice.

Pollution, Prudes, and Ignorance

3. Oil shortage

Reasoning in religion and politics,and finding cures for diseases.

Greed,hatred and injustice

war - too much violence, population - too much people here, crowding, hunger - not enough money for food cuz we spend it all on gas - the way my life is on this one...

Drug dealing and addiciction and crooked cops and gas prices and fatherless children of drug addicts locked away. and motherless children of drug addicts. just to name afew
