Can anyone point to a study that shows the effect on driving while having a conversation with someone in the passenger seat vs the effect on driving while talking on a cell phone?

in both absolute numbers and as a ratio of total population?

In the US, if a house in foreclosure is auctioned off for more than the borrower owes on the mortgage (there is a surplus after all fees are paid), does the borrower receieve the surplus or does the bank keep it (or does it go somewhere else)?

I am an American currently paid approximately 61% of the median for my education level, industry, and experience. It is unlikely I will receive a substantial raise from my current employer. I have been looking for a new job for about a month, and have not found a good fit yet. I have an opportunity with my current employer to work internationally (Hong Kong, Singapore and elsewhere in the asia/pacific region) for 6 months with possibility of extension, food/housing expenses paid, but at my current salary. I already have 3 months of (Western Europe) international experience under my belt.

Should I go for a local raise (I'm sure I will find something eventually) or the international experience to boost my resume and make contacts overseas?

Or is it best that all employees be included in some fashion?
