Career moves?
I am an American currently paid approximately 61% of the median for my education level, industry, and experience. It is unlikely I will receive a substantial raise from my current employer. I have been looking for a new job for about a month, and have not found a good fit yet. I have an opportunity with my current employer to work internationally (Hong Kong, Singapore and elsewhere in the asia/pacific region) for 6 months with possibility of extension, food/housing expenses paid, but at my current salary. I already have 3 months of (Western Europe) international experience under my belt.
Should I go for a local raise (I'm sure I will find something eventually) or the international experience to boost my resume and make contacts overseas?

I think it really depends on you personally. Do you love to travel? Would you personally enjoy it? If you go and dont truely have a desire to be so far from home I wouldn't go. However, if you'd love the experience of living so far from home, go for it! I would also consider family if you have one. If you have a wife and kids a whole new country can be overwelming. If you have nothing tieing you down then its truely what YOU want out of life! GO WITH YOUR GUT!!!
