What present to get for a 7-month-old girl?

books! such as, my first words which has lots of picts and is very interesting to a 7 mos girl. she'll soon recognise things around her and starts talking very soon, just like my daughter.

for me, i'd love to receive some books or any other educational things like puzzle etc.. as my daughter's presents. i don't really like clothes as ppl has different taste, i may not like it either..,

toys..? i have a lot.

You could try the toy section at different retailers. Look for age appropriate toys. I'd say at 7 months the child would be interested in working with her hands. Bright primary colors are also great since they attract the child's attention. Consider toys with different textures too.

One of my favorites to get for this age child is either a ball or ship with different shape holes. There are smaller pieces that correspond to the shapes. The child can experiment and find which shapes go into which holes. Great toy if you can find it!

I have a 7 month old baby girl and this is what she LOVES: 1. Jumpster: I recently bought one, I can't get her out of it, loves jumping. 2. Toys that have teethers. I guess her 1st teeth will soon appear and she bites anything in her way. 3. She's starting to put herself in hands and knees and is "rocking". I guess it won't be long until she surprises us by crawling around. I got her a lights and sounds allien that moves to stimulate her to go get it. 4. She also loves soft stuffed animal, specially bears. Hope I helped.

The other thing that is really neat for babies and most folks don't get are the Baby Einstein DVDs They are just wonderful. I used to sit with both of my little ones and talk about them and play with them while they were playing and both children loved them from like 6 months on.

Go to a department store that sells toys. On the front of the box it will say what age group it is good for. Since she is 7 months i would find something that is for 9 months plus. If you buy her something 6 months plus she might get bored with it sooner.

At 7 months she will be really into picking up toys, passing them from hand to hand and exploring them so something really tactile and interesting would be nice like those little balls that have things inside, also stacking blocks or simple (like my first shape sorter) shape sorters, she might not be able to use them properly yet but she can explore the shapes and learn how to use them so this will be a toy she can use for months to come. She will love musical sounds and crinkly textures, those play rings that they sit in are good but it depends what you want to spend!! Happy shopping xx

Make her a homemade blanket out of fleece!

Buy 2 - 1 1/2 yards of 2 diffefent fleece fabrics. One patterned One solid.

With right sides facing out, Wrong sides together.

Cut a 2" x 2" square from each corner. OR 4" x 4" square from each corner.

Cut strips into each of the 4 sides. 1" wide x 2" in depth. OR 1" wide x 4" in depth.

Tie strips together forming a knot. Double knot.

Plant a tree in her name.. A friend of my parents did that.. it's a nice gesture.. but on the other hand.. the tree that was planted for me grows all the way in Isreal.. not exactly around the corner.. so as a play think it was of no use to me...

Maybe a little music box?? You can even get those in the form of a stuffed animal..

Go to the nearest Wal-Mart or Target or whatever. Ask a sales associate. Most baby items &/or toys have recommended ages listed on the packaging.

Some squeezy toys, or things that light up and play music. Or you could get a walker and just give it to them early, since the baby will be walking sooner than it seems.

Every infant loves a plush animal toy to cuddle with. Go to a Build-a-Bear Workshop and find the softest one they have. Just keep in mind that you don't want it to be too big.
