Who would get custody of a baby if both biological parents are deceased with no stated will (US)?
Note: This is a question regarding PURELY FICTIONAL people!
Situation is as follows: The child is very young (3 months old); parents were never married, but father recognized as parent. Father is married.
Would the father's spouse get the right of guardian? A (more distant) relative of the mother? The court or some other organization?
(Setting is Massachusetts/New Hampshire, so answers specific for that area will be greatly appreciated, but any informative answers for US legislative set up should give me _some_ idea.)

I seem not to be able to save ratings, both to answers and to questions - but only if they are thumbs-down. Is anybody else having this problem today?
11 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoNipple discharge-how to know if harmless?
This morning I noticed than on squeezing one nipple, there is a tiny amount (really tiny) of yellowish discharge. I don't know if it is a sign of danger - if anyone out there has any experience with breast cancer diagnosis, could you clue me in as to what amount / type of discharge should be alarming? Or should I just zip off to my GP for more thorough examination? I am 25.
12 AnswersCancer1 decade agoWhat present to get for a 7-month-old girl?
OK, I am going to visit a friend who has a 7-month-old daughter. My friend asked me _not_ to get any clothes for present. Do you have any ideas what I can get her?
22 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoWhy is a yawn so infectious?
OK, I think most people have noticed it - if somebody yawns in a gropu of people, or an office, or classroom, or elevator - most people around also have the desire to yawn (and most do). Even if they are doing separate tasks (i.e., it is not likely that _all_ are bored or tired).
Does anyone have an idea why?
