---Take a quarter and strech the dam really really thin over it. It will look like the quarter is sitting on top of the rubber. Show the quarter to someone. When you flick the quarter, it will "pass" right through the rubber sheet.

They are used daily by dentist all over the country for most all dental procedures.

We used to use them in the lab to squeeze more water out of the stuff we were filtering via a seive. I got some strange looks at the medical supply company when I bought about fifty of them.

They are used by dentists and oral surgeons to keep stuff from going down the throat while the mouth is being worked on.
