My oldest 3 kids all started sitting up at 5 months and my twin boys are almost 7 months and they started sitting up earlier this month. Every child is different though, they may not sit alone for a while still. Just depends on what they're interested in doing.

I know you want your kids to be doing everything early and before all your friends' kids. But...you have two to deal with. Why would you want them doing more? My baby sat early, but average is around 6-8 months. Keep them active, maybe join a tumbles class with them. They will learn at their own rate. Twins usually take a little longer to learn skills since they are generally early being born. Give them their own time and they'll be running you crazy soon enough. My neighbor has twins and she always said that she didn't want them mobile. Good Luck!

Everyone is different. My daughter was walking at 9 months old which is very young, so don't get nervous. Play with them, holding them up and then in time, they will sit on their own. Then they will get into everything by crawling all over the house and you will want the days when they couldn't,lol :)

Around 6 months, but your twins were probably preemies so you may have to adjust your growth and milestone chart a bit. Ask your doctor at the next appt.

When they are ready. I'm a "Popi" as my 3 yold calls me. Each child is different. Give them time. My daughter has twins (paternal) 5 mos old. It is surprising to see the differences in development of Sierra & Maleena

Six months is about average, but some kids take a little longer. I always liked to consult the "What to Expect" books to help me know whether my kids were developing at the right speed and when to worry that they hadn't met a milestone.

Somewhere between 6-8 months they should do this. Babies develop at different rates and unless there are other reasons to suspect delays I wouldn't be concerned. If you are really worried talk to your pediatrician , he/she can check their upper body muscle tone and tell you if they look alright (I'm sure they do)

everything varies from child to child. my niece was almost sitting on her own without help at 4 months & at 6-7 was attempting walking...completely skipped crawling!
