Why not go on one of those single people holidays it's not a dating holiday just a group of people who go on holiday alone, you can spend time, meals, outings etc with the group or go off on your own. I did this for years & had some blooming good holidays & made some good friends. Your local decent travel agent will have brochures with the places on offer

Find a travel club online..... if in US join mixer/mixer or some other type of free club which has events for free... also try craigslist...... there are lots of ways to find people to travel with-- also try church groups, don't need to belong to their reliegion as they always looking to fill their bus...

Just go by yourself and make friends wherever you are.
