Which countries are less racist than America?

Taht question is faulty you can't just say that America is racist. Some of the people are but some aren't. The current issue of illegal immigration is not a race issue for most it is as question of millions of people crossing into our country illegally and taking advantage of it and attempting to push thier culture upon us. They are trying to take over the country and push aside the American way of life and when we complain they call us racists. If we are racist then they are worse as they already have army troops on their southern borders to keep non Mexicans out of their country. This is an invasion sanctioned by the Mexican government they sent their poor and uneducated here instead of their army because they know they can't win militarily so they use immigration. If millions of Americans began to illegally cross into Mexico and set up English speaking sections in all of their cities and use in their medical facilities and schools etc the Mexicans would demand the US put a halt to it and if we didn't they would declare war on us. Don;t doubt it for a second.

The more homogeneous a a population the more it tends to close in on itself. America does and will continue to suffer from the stain of slavery. Great effort is needed to repair this problem. Whites like to pretend it never happened, Blacks like to act as though it never ended. It only perpetuates the situation.

Don't confuse racism with prejudice, which is rampant across racial lines. Today most Americans do not have a belief in the biological inferiority of another race. They are more likely a combination of frightened and ignorant.

Also, it is not racist to take issue with cultural traits of some groups, if you would not care for that trait in a member of your own group.

I have seen other countries mentioned as less racist.

France: hundreds of years of Anti-Semitism

Iceland: not very diverse

Australia: Aboriginal discrimination

Canada & UK: problems with large numbers of Commonwealth Immigrants.

No one is perfect. That is not a reason to stop trying. But ending racism is not to bend over for each new group and their ways, especially if they are unwilling to melt to some degree.

I believe the united states, canada, the UK and australia are the only countries which are not racist, as most productive countries don't have time to be racist.

Australia has had its share of racist history: The White Australia Policy until 1968. Now immigration detention centres where they keep men, women and children, some who are refugees under U.N conventions and has also had its share of race riots: Cronulla (Lebanese attacked by gangs of drunk Aussies) and demonizing refugees (The Prime Minister John Howard claiming that refugees threw their children into the sea, which was proved false.)

Canada... But wait a minute! There are like 32 more or less independent countries in the Americas. Some are more racists then others (my beloved Argentina, for instance), but if you're referring to the US... well guys, you got gold medal.

It appears that America is racist because of the vast diversity of ethnicity.

Other countries that don't have quite a mix of nationalities isn't faced with racial issues the way America is.

That's a good one....Yep, there are other countries that have racists, too. Almost every nation (at one time or another) has tried to impose its will on another....or kill half its population because of the inferior peoples...anyone remember the Nazis?

Mexico is even more racist.... remember Vincente Fox... his comment that mexicans take jobs that not even blacks would... well... Mexicans commit atrocities that not even blacks would... like killing a baby to smuggle drugs in its carcus.... Amongst many other things.... Check with the boys at the DEA they could tell you some stories and show you pictures that would make any civilized human to wretch violently....

The USA has laws which protect minorities, and prosecute hatred. I would think that because of our diversity, there may not be another nation less racist.

Now, are you talking about the people or the government? The U.S. Government is extremely racist. There are many laws that specify race and religion, depite the US constitution.
