Predestiny or Freewill ?

We have free will. We are not predestined to do anything. Yes God is omnipotenet in that He CAN do anything. But because He gave us free will, He said in His Word that He would not violate His Word.

So so He limited Himself so that we would come to Him of our free will. He did all He could to warn us about Hell, He sent Jesus to redeem us from the possiblity of Hell. He is not going to violate His Word just so He can save us, cause that would make Him a liar..wouldnt it? On the other hand, He did give us a way of escape, and that way is Jesus.

And just about any other term you find in religion that you don't find anywhere else, and just about anything else that is considered supernatural.

The idea of religion is to teach and use so many false concepts which all support each other, so that when one questions the religion, he will have a terribly difficult time making sense of things, and will just admit defeat (succumb to a belief that he is not intelligent enough to question such things).

All of these false concepts fit together like a house of cards. A religious person's belief system is like a house of cards, all of his mistaken/false beliefs support each other, so that even if he questions one false belief (like the existence of God) he will have all the other cards (false beliefs) supporting each other, and supporting his errant belief system, so that it makes no sense if he removes the belief of the existence of God. In order for a person to correct his errant belief system, he has to remove all the supporting false beliefs, which is very hard to do as the religion has made sure to instill tons of supporting false beliefs! They do this purposefully, of course, so that the follower will never stop believing, and will always be a follower of the religion.

As for predestiny vs freewill.

If God knows everything, then he knows exactly what will happen in the future due to causality (cause and effect). If he creates this person in this world at this time, he knows exactly what will happen to that person throughout the person's life (and through eternity, if eternal life were actually real). Thus, he would make decisions knowing the outcome beforehand, just as you know if you put a microwave dinner in the microwave for 5 minutes, it will be cooked! So in that respect, predestination is a mandatory fact (if there is actually a god that is as Christians claim he is). However, they also claim that he knows what will happen, but you still have free will! I suppose that could make sense to a believer, as he knows what you are going to choose before you make the choice, but that doesn't mean he made the choice for you, so in that way, free will is also true.

But everything pertaining to religion is just a game used to mess up your mind, to confuse you and to make you bow to authority (and that authority is certainly not God).

There ya go. God is all knowing. Only HE knows the date of our death. We cannot change that. Someone commits suicide? Think they can die before their time? It that were true, then that person was more powerful than God. We cannot chose our own death date. For God is all knowing. So all is pre-destined.

God knows all. We cannot change what God knows.

For us, we have a past, present, and future. For God, there is no Time. Our present lives has already passed. For God said, "The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which will be done; and there is no new thing under the sun" Ecclesiastes 1:8 Therefore, we have already lived this life; but, we have not seen it, as we are in our own presence. But, what is to come, has already came, we still need to live it.

Freewill?

Lets take a stept back and see what freewill really is.

"Freewill is the freedom of Choice."

My choices are limited by my environment and my mind.

"Freewill is the freedom of Choice."

But then my choices are still not controlled by me, I am myself and myself can be seen in 3rd person view doing the choices for me where I truly have no control. Hard to follow, just think Determinism.

"Freewill is in your soul."

Did I get a good soul?

"Freewill exists."

If freewill exists why is 5 x 5 always equal to 25? So the physical world seems to operate in a mathematical sense. Does this mean that freewill works in a spiritual sense? It must be. Did I get the right spirit? Where is the spirit, if the spirit acts on my physical body then shouldn't there be some sort of connection between the physical and spiritual, but that has never been detected.

So what is freewill?

A flawed concept.

There is both Free Will and Predestination.

Free Will is easy to understand, but most people have the wrong understanding of predestination.

There are many, many contradictions in the bible, hence the great many Christian sects. Some Christians believe in Freewill and others in Predestiny. There is no sure answer. You have to decide for yourself.

Predestination, biblically, is for the believer only. Romans 8. But both predestination and free will exist. Consider Ephesians 1:11 God works all things by the counsel of his own will. And yet, it remains clear, biblically, theologically and practically that we all have our own free will to accept or reject Christ. The answer is both: they are not mutually exclusive.

Even a person who goes to hell when he/she dies generally receives some sort of blessings in this life, at least. Is it better for a person never to exist at all and never receive any blessings or knowledge of God? Apparently not.

Once we are conceived, our genetic potential is determined. However, what we do with our life, is up to us, our parents, friends, circumstances, etc.

Life would be a joke if life was predestined.

Last, belief in a creator is primary. Belief in religion is by faith.
