Gas Companies Profits too high ...Time to fight back!?

Recently Exxon released their quarterly earning (profit) of 10.3 BILLION dollars. What this means"we are being gouged at the pumps". Since our politicians are being funded by these big oil companies they will not help us. We can do something to lower prices by BOY COTTING these companies starting with Exxon service stations and Exxon products. It's a starting point.

When their corperate profits decline they will be forced to lower their prices.

When this quarter ends, the company reporting the Highest profit should be boy cotted for the next quarter until they lower their prices. In other words the companies with the highest profit will not get our business for the next quarter.

I hope everyone reading this will spend at least 5 points to continue circulating this message until everyone understands the importance of sticking together to pressure these companies to lower their prices. Doing nothing means business as usual for the oil companies. Take a stand now, Boy Cott

Or maybe you could park your huge SUV for awhile. If there were too many people and food became more expensive, would you blame farmers?

The major oil company's are buying out all the smaller company's, Exxon, Shell, Mobile, Texaco. Texaco just bought out Race-Trac stations. Yes it is time for people to do something, but no people are so dumb. They would rather be screwed at the pumps than make an effort to do anything. All that would have to be done, is for people to fill up on a Friday and not buy another drop of gas for a week. let the trucking company's go on operating as always. There are 300,000,000 people in the US. If only 100,000,000 drive and each used 15 to 30 gallons of gas per week at $3.00 per gallon, that would amount to between 150,000,000 and 300,000,000 gallons of gas at $3.00 per gallon would be from $450,000,000 to $900,000,000 loss to gas company's in one weeks time. How long do you think the gas company's could stand this? Let people fill up each Friday and stop buying gass like this for a month and watch the gas company's start screaming.

Utter non-sense. Oil company profits are at all time highs yet they are only earning about 10% profit. Banks, your credit card company, the Git & Go store down on the corner, and your local bakery are probably earning a higher percentage.

I've got a better idea. If you think the price of gas is too high why don't you just quit buying it and walk. I haven't see any oil company guys standing around with a gun to anyone's head making them buy the stuff.

Sounds good to me. Unfortunately, as long as we have an oil man as our president, he's not going to do anything to help matters. After Hurricane Katrina gas prices topped $3.00/gallon in Indiana. Our Governor temporarily waived taxes on gas and threatened to prosecute any station which raised its gas prices unreasonably as a profiteer. If we had a decent president, that's what would be going on right now nationwide with the oil companies.

I never use Exxon anyway. I have a Sam's Club/Wal mart card. I use it to get gas. They give all their members a discount at the pump. It really comes in handy. I think they are driving up gas prices to get everyone to move on up to hybrid cars. They don't take much gas, and they are environmentally safe. I say they are much better, but they are expensive to work on.

    Stop complaining about gas prices!!!

ok so we have to pay a little more for gas, maybe qwe could have a little lower prices,

but people in europe are paying around 8 us dollars a gallon for gas

how about instead of boycotting we just use our cars less!!! bike, walk, take the bus!!! wholly cow we can use less gas

do you know what i think that stores that sell clothing are making to much profit, i am going to boycott clothes!!!!!!

what's a life like earnings for an organization to make? The democrats will under no circumstances allow you to recognize that. they say 6 billion or 9 billion or besides the reality that sort they choose, what they do no longer say is that the oil organizations percentage earnings on capital is round 9% - properly in keeping with maximum different agencies. ought to a liberal allow you to recognize that the networks make a higher percentage earnings than the oil organizations? Do networks ought to spend billions on analyze and progression, on searching new oil reserves, on searching better and cleanser techniques for his or her products for use? Do networks ought to positioned with infinite authorities regulation that forces them as an instance their products into such countless diverse varieties that they decelerate the agencies skill to get them to marketplace? Liberalism skill under no circumstances having to have a real answer to a real situation - and it also skill under no circumstances having to inform the completed tale... you merely make up parts of it that sound sturdy, and miss something that does no longer jive with what you choose human beings to trust. the following back - democrats attempting to promote their empty agenda with lies, distortion and sophistication conflict...
