He'd have to hit 23 homers in 57 games. That won't happen.

If Troy can hit 2 in 1 game 5 times at most which is tough he could but he would almost have to swing with an uppercut. Then taht could screw up his swing. Troy is just a great power hitter not contact.

No way... he'd have to hit 23 in 57 games.

He's played 98 games so far or .933 of his team's game, so he'll play in 53 more games at this pace.

He's averaging 3.66 at-bats per game with 89 strike-outs and .265 BA. He's averaging one HR every 13.3 at-bats. He's on pace to get another 194 at bats, so he'll hit another 14.6 HR's (round to 15). He'll end the season at 42. If he played all his teams games remaining, all 57, he'd still be short at 43. To hit 50, he'd need to play all 57 games and average one HR every NINE at-bats...

Not going to happen. He's too fragile to play every single game from here on out and his power numbers are slowing a little from earlier in the season....

He has an outside chance at 50, but he has to make sure that he doesn't run into any outstanding pitching staffs (Tigers, A's, Twins as of late).

If he can avoid that, he has a shot

No, there's no way. .00009% chance in my opinion.

    I'm guessing he'll have closer to 35-36

    No he won't.
