Which left side of the infield is better-Jeter and A-Rod of the Yanks or Reyes and Wright of the Mets?

Update:

It's a deadlock. Nobody has given a resanoble answer.

Update 2:

Deadlock again.

Right now, it's the Yanks, but, assuming no trades, the Mets' infield will improve. (I'm taking the perspective that A-Rod will get out of his slump soon.) Jeter has speed and A-Rod usually leads the team in steals. Both are great fielders and A-Rod has a strong arm. Reyes has unbelievable speed and makes pitchers nervous when he's on base. However, he's doesn't have the power that the other guys have. Wright has a lot of potential and is already a great all-around player. Once he reaches the prime of his career, he will be one of the best players for his time. However, I've heard that he feels cheated because of his low salary. (He is clearly underpaid.) Because of this, I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes a free agent and joins another team.

Shortened version of what I'm saying:

    Yanks better now.

    Mets better in the future.

Wright may not be in Mets' infield much longer.

As a Mets fine I am inclined to say Reyes and Wright, but I think that it could go either way, depending on how you look at it. Fielding, the Mets have the advantage, because David Wright is probably the next Scott Rolen at 3rd base, and A-rod is--not. Also, Jeter is an amazing SS, but Reyes is right behind him, and about 10 years younger. The Yankees left side will be around for 5+ years max, but the Mets tandem will be here for at least ten years, and by the time they are that age and have that experience, they will be better than A-rod and Jeter ever were. Batting, Wright is a budding power hitter, and Reyes is a great table-setter for the hitters behind him(LoDuca, Beltran, Delgado, Wright). I think that the Mets left side is better now, just by a little, and will continue to get better with experience.

The Mets have a significantly better left aspect of the infield for a pair motives. One, they're youthful. 2, both one among them are homestead grown expertise. Jeter's homestead grown expertise and the chief of that franchise, yet he's previous his best. he's a mediocre fielding extremely above common hitting table setter at this aspect of his occupation. Reyes nonetheless has skill to get better. i recognize he's run right into a rut with this damage presently, yet he's been very healthful that previous 5 years. Wright fields his position rather. His arm is off each and every in certain situations. His ability ought to correctly be deflated with suggestions from Citi field. He can bypass to all fields and is an regular tremendous hitter. the placement for him is he strikes out too a lot and is streaky. obviously, out of all 4 of those gamers, A-Rod's the appropriate, yet at his income twenty-9 different communities, and now perchance the Yankees coated with the steroid information, do not imagine it is properly worth 25-30 million in keeping with 12 months. human beings gained't remember A-Rod completely as a Yankee. He spent countless time in Seattle and Texas. the way he ended up as a Yankee merely would not experience organic. He did not come to play his position. he's under no circumstances hit in the postseason. All he's been is a premodanna who's became coaches and gamers on the franchise. Alex Rodriguez ought to correctly be a tremendous participant, without or with steroids, yet he's a clubhouse poison. He thinks he's above others and thinks he can destroy out with it. there's a reason the pink Sox have 2 titles considering that A-Rod grew to develop right into a Yankee and the Yankees haven't any.

Great question, I think you have to go with Jeter / Arod and by a fairly large margin right now. Jeter is the most clutch player in the game and Arod is one of the three best players right now. Three years from now it will be Reyes and Wright. This is no slight to to these to , but the Yankees left side is the best I have seen offensively in my lifetime. I am a Met fan an love those two , but I would make the trade in a second to get Jeter and Arod for Wright and Reyes.

David Wright and Jose Reyes are young and very talented players that show alot of Potential in the future for the Mets. But Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez are clearly the better Shortstop and Thirdbase players in the league despite Rodriguez's mishaps

because are both experienced and both show power to all parts of the field like Wright and Reyes but Jeter and A-Rod are the 2 hottest players for years to come.

Definately Jeter & A-Rod. A-Rod SS won the AL gold glove 2002-2003 and Jeter SS got them 2004-05. I don't see any gold gloves for Reyes & David Wright. Now as far as offense.. I still think Jeter's outplays Jose Reyes especially in the batting average category. David Wright vs A-Rod.. I doubt David Wright will ever post a season like A-Rods MVP season in 2005.

Right now, it's a dead heat. Wright and Reyes have tremendous upside, but A-Rod and Jeter have the experience plus Jeter has something that the other three don't: World Series rings (4, I believe) so I call this comparison a draw

I think that Reyes and Wright are the two better ss and thrid basemen. this is because they are both young and show alot of potential. plus, jeter and gay-rod are both getting old, so they will be with the yankees less time than reyes and wright will be with the mets. so wright and reyes are better investment for the mets than jeter and a rod are for the yankees. plus, with gay-rods slump, hes not helping the yankees at all

Jeter and A-Rod now, but Reyes and Wright have the potential to be as good or better.

    I'd say definitely A-Rod & Jeter.

    Better numbers all around.

Reyes/Wright, maybe in a few years, but not yet.
