What off duty weapon is better Glock 19 or Glock 26?

Both are fine choices, its a matter of what you shoot better. I prefer the compact over the sub-compact as I like to have all fingers on the weapon. The middle finger primarily grips the pistol while the ring and pinky control muzzle flip. Remember choices? Grip extensions are made for the 26 but you have no rail. I personally like to have a tac light but that may not be a factor for you. For me it was a 23 that I found to be most suitable. Try both and make a decision but whatever you do, don't let anyone tell you what's best for you.

A Glock 38

Glock 26 is more concealable, however i'd recommend getting a Springfield XD in .45 acp or 40 S&W, the 9mm luger just isn't the most ideal manstopper out there.

My Choice is Kimber Custom II. Same gun as LAPD SWAT. Glock is an excellent weapon, but find a model of pistol that fits your needs (caliber/CCW) Many of the 45ACP models Kimber are light weight and reliable.1911 's are easy to aquire targets for me, and shoot great. 40 S&W rounds are powerful and easy to find. Sig Sauer has many models for CCW, and are very reliable. ( I like the .357 Sig caliber. So do the US Air Marshal Service.) Good luck, Aim straight.

glock 19 has been proven many times over law enforcement choice of weapon both on and off duty my personal off duty is the colt Gov modl 10 M/M it don't get any better althogh sometimes i prefer my browing HP silver chrome 1970s

between the two i would say that neither are good because they are 9mm rounds which hurt the guy but dont really kill or hurt him really badly. From glocks i would say 22 or 23 which are .40's or pick a Smith&Wesson Military&Police that uses .40's

glock 27 subcompact in .40 s&w, you CANT go wrong with it. deep concealment, hefty clip and good stopping power.at least look it up.. i have one and have had several other glocks, this is my favorite. .45acp will almost certainly have too small capacity or be too huge for concealment and lugging around everywhere, besides people are killed with .22's, bigger isn't always better, marksmanship is though.

Many OD carry the 19, My choice is my Springfield arms 45, 1911 model.
