Should we suspect Bush's motivations?
Since two members of the Israeli cabinet donated a large amount of money to his campaign, how can we trust his motivation with regards to Israel. Should foreign nations be allowed to contribute to American politicians?
Ok, everyone can yell at me for this, but I had to do it. Forgive me the deception, but I fabricated the bit about campaign donations because I wanted to see several things to better understand this community and the things I read here.
1) I wanted to know if anyone ever researched anything before spouting off. Although one person did ask for more information, nobody claimed I was misinformed, which is scary that everyone on both sides of the aisle was so prepared to believe anything of our President.
2) I wanted to see if Liberals would immediately jump on this as another way to attack Bush. Some did, but not that badly. On the whole, I guess it wasn't exciting enough.
3) I wanted to see how many Conservatives would automatically leap to the defense of the President. Some did, just as a knee-jerk reaction to anything negative. If you were amongst these, you're truly living an unexamined life. Start thinking for yourself.
Again, my apologies, but I had to know.

NO!!! What 2 members of Israeli's cabinet donated a large amount of money to President Bush's campaign, Can you name them???? Foreign Nations should not be allowed to donate money to American Politicians, but they already have. The Chinese and the buddists donated large amounts of money to "Slick Willie" Clinton and alg'ore's campaigns.

Good of you to notice, but historically, the US and Israel have always supported one another. The US learned a lot about fighting terrorism from Israel, whether or not you agree/disagree with the issue of fighting terrorism and whom/why Israel fights its enemies.
It makes sense for the US to support Israel, because if Israel wasn't where it was, or was wiped off the map, the whole MidEast would be filled with Arab countries. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but it's something to consider, given the current state of US-Arab relations. The US needs some sort of democratic ally there, regardless of any current fighting Israel is involved in.

REMEMBER 9/11!!!!! This has NOTHING to do with political contributions, it has to do with keeping America and the rest of the world free to be the best they can be, not some turban topped yahoo's idea of a perfect puppet.

Yes, we should, it should be investigated, oops we have a repuglican congress with tiny little balls that is more interested in enriching themselves and their buddy's then they are in routing out a corrupt politician like Bush.
