Why do people think they have to be rude when they return items to a grocery store?

That's so funny you asked this question today...
Just this afternoon my boyfriend's sister *who is not my favorite person in the world* FREAKED out because the bagger at the grocery store supposedly packed her bag wrong. The bag split and her juice broke and spilled all over the side walk. The second she got into the apartment she called Vons and screamed at them.
I didn't understand it....it's what, a $3 item?! What does it matter? And what right did she have to SCREAM at the person? Yes, someone made a mistake, but it's not that big of a deal. The last people you should disrespect are those in service jobs - they can help you or definitely hurt you!
I've always been told you get more with sugar than vinegar.
