What is healthy tthat i can order at a mexican restaraunt?

If it was my choice i would not be eating out at all, but since I have to go to lunch today what is lower calorie with a balance of protein fats and healthy carbs?

    Fajitas are generally healthy. Go heavy on the vegetables and nix the cheese, guacamole, and sour cream as toppings. If you insist on a topping, go with salsa.

    It can be difficult to eat healthy at a Mexican restaurant. Here are a few ideas that may help.

    Try to avoid the beans, chances are they have a lot of added fat to them.

    Watch the chips and salsa. The salsa is great, but more than likely you will over do it on the chips. Who doesn't if they are not careful?

    Try ordering fajitas, this is usually grilled meats with grilled onions and peppers, and then you choose what toppings. You could probably order this with a corn tortilla or choose not to eat the tortilla or just have a smaller portion of the flour tortilla.

    If they don't have fajitas, try a soft taco, these are many times made with grilled meats.

    Always ask to double up on the lettuce and salsa.

    If they have a salad this might be great too, be sure to ask what toppings come on it and ask to omit those that are calorie laden and don't really add to the nutrition. Such as the fried tortilla strips, or sour cream.

    Surely you're not referring to a place like Taco Bell.Their taco salad has 46 grams of fat and 14 grams of saturated.If you mean Taco Bell the only thing you should order is directions elsewhere.Just try to stay away from large amounts of anything made with flour and try to concentrate on something with a large amount of vegetables.It's not really known to be healthy food.Most of the protein sources are going to be loaded with fat.Eat before you go and order something lite to be polite.

    Chicken Tacos without the sour cream or cheese...go with Onions and cilantro!! YUMMY!!

    Loads of flavor and less on the fat. Have them in soft corn tortillas, less carbs than flour.

    Chicken or shrimp fajitas. No tortillas, though. Grilled protein and veggies...you can't go wrong. Stay away from all the fried stuff, rice, beans and sauces.
