Can anyone give me ideas on how I can fold the tissue so it will look nice at the top of the bag?

open a big square of tissue paper

pinch a small part of the middle between your fingers

then shake it by waving your arm up and down

that will make a nice fluted tissue paper

then tuck the middle section down into the bag leaving the fluted edges poking up out of the bag

lay the tissue flat and put the gift in the center. fold the tissue on a diagonal so you get a triangle, hold the tissue under the gift with one hand and bring one side of the remaining up hold with the gift. then, bring up the other side and slide it all in the bag. the paper will be "pointy" at the top, just fold it down a little.

I usually crumple it up in a ball and the undo is and put in the bag in layers or depending on the colors of the gift bag I pick 2 or 3 different colored tissue paper and layer it on top of each other and usually fold it and cut it designs into it and then layer nicely in the bag.

You can also take tissue paper and cut it or tear into little pieces to make confetti and sprinkle it on top of the tissue paper you put inside the gift bag. Or you can take stickers and put them on your tissue paper as a nice decorative and fun look.

Better yet you can even make tissue paper flowers check this out:

Pinch the tissue at the middle so that it looks like a bouquet and put it in the bag like so. You might want to put 2-3 depending on how big your bag is to cover all the top.

use two colors, but only one will

    look lovely too.

put one piece of tissue in the bottom

of the bag. no need to fold

    or anything, just kind of

    push it inn there unfolded

pushing in the middle of the paper.

    then put the gift(s) in

    then do the same thing

push another sheet or two (stacked

    diagonnally)

on top, pushing in the center of

    the unfolded paper.

open up 1 sheet and then find the middle...pull the sheet up from the middle and let the rest fall

    fold it in half

    then just crumble one end

of it so it'll look like a boquet...

    then insert into bag...=]
