it's okay, but just do the roots.

first put the dye on the roots and let it set the required amount of time, then put the rest of the dye to the remaining hair and leave on for about 5 minutes. You don't need to put the dye all over the hair if your not changing the color.

Other than that, if you were changing the color, then depending on the condition of your hair, and whether or not it can take the abuse, 4 wks is okay. I did mine every 3 to 4 wks when I was blonde (I have dark brown hair naturally), but I only put it on the roots and then "touched up" the remaining hair.

And remember, no matter if you dye it once a month or once a year, condition, condition, condition. I take a weekend to deep condition. Friday night I mix up some Alberto V05 hot oil (sometimes olive oil) and some good quality conditioner and put it all over my hair, put my hair in braids and leave it on the whole weekend. At the end of the weekend I wash it out and my hair is super soft and shiny!! Do this once a month or every 2 months or so. Dyeing can be very drying!!!!

i dyed my hair twice in the same day (because i didnt like the first color)and my hair was fine. it wasnt dried out or damaged and it looked just fine.

im not sure what type of dye you are using. i just had that stuff in a box from the store.

it all depends on your hair right now. has your hair become corse and firzzy? are the ends all split? then you should not. however if your hair can stand another dye it should be fine. note* you should only dye it if you really need to^^

and usually dying maybe once every 3 months is healthy and non-damaging

specific, you may. Use some colour like purple-blonde. it delivers you greater purple on your hair, yet no longer the screaming sort. in case you want screaming purple hair, like titian or vibrant crimson, you will would desire to pass to the hair fabric cloth wardrobe. they are able to apply the suitable suited style of bleach to strip your organic colour and lay on the hot colour. this is all attainable, even though it will be everlasting hair colour. Been there, accomplished that. solid success!

I touch mine up about every 6 weeks, so I would say yes. But I suppose it depends on whether it's store bought stuff or salon colouring products.

Just dye the new growth if its a bit color variation. You don't want to overprocess the hair already colored.

yes girl i do it all the time if you're dying it another color you should probly wait but when you do use long lasting color then you won't have to keep dying it

most short hairstyles require my clients to come in every 3 weeks. DONT OVERLAP!!!!!! go to a salon if possible for best results and healthy hair. good luck
