When is it cheating?

Flirting is bad, but not cheating. There is cheating on two different levels.

1) When touching becomes involved, beginning with anything as small as handholding. Kissing and more is definetly cheating.

2) When both people have an emotional bond, like they both know that they want to be together, but can't at that time.

I define cheating as going outside the agreed rules of the relationship. Me and my ex sat down and talked about what was and wasn't allowed during our relationship. When either of us felt we were struggling to stick to the rules, we talked about it and we usually had a break. We were very open and honest with each other and I think that's what made us so good then and the reason we are still close friends now that we have finally split up for good.
