WHY do people put a question to vote with ONE answer?!?
Seriously...I have gone through to "vote" on the best answer on different questions...and I can't tell you HOW MANY questions are put "up to vote" with only ONE answer!? Isn't that a waste of time?! If you're going to give someone the option to VOTE...give them more than one answer to choose from!!!!!

I had some questions with 1 answer that I did not like, so I did not give it a best answer. I did nothing and it went to voting automatically.
I don't like it, but that is the way it is.

I don't think they do, because people have so many days to answer and once that time is up, the person that asked the question has a choice of either casting a vote or choosing the answer and they probably want to see how others feel and if they don't touch the answer, then a vote is automatically cast

Well it happened to me. I posted a question and only one person answered. Yahoo sent me an e-mail stating the question was going to expire and that I needed to either pick a best answer, extend to deadline, and one other option. So I just voted the one and only answer as best answer. After a few hours your question is on like page 15 and most people probably don't go that far in.

Yahoo doesn't pick and choose what goes to vote. They force all of them to be voted.
- How do you think about the answers? You can sign in to vote the answer.

MAYBE NO ONE ELSE ANSWERED THE QUESTION, AND THE PERSON WHO ASKED IT NEVER WENT BACK TO CHECK ON IT, SO YAHOO DECIDES THE TIME IS UP FOR THAT QUESTION AND PUTS IT TO VOTE.

Because they answered their own question from another account name. that way they get more points. IT's called cheating/.

looks like this might be the only answer to this one.

they don't intentionally, it just happens when no 'best answer' is picked
