Canadian Visa problem, any suggestion? 10 points for best answer!?
I applied for a Canadian visa (tourist visa, single entry) recently and got rejected. They gave the reason that they didn't think I will leave Canada. I have never been rejected any visa before. I have a valid US and UK visa. I submitted all the documents necessary including proof of funds and my return tickets as proof of return. I really feel I have been dealt with unjustly. I am considering an appeal. They didn't even have an interview so that we can know what other documents they require as proof.
I don't know what else I can do to prove that I am really a tourist and not planning to overstay my visit. Can anyone give me some suggestions?
PS: I have been to Canada once before on a tourist visa and returned before my visa expired. I have no criminal record either.
My nationality is Indian.
I had provided an invitation letter from my relatives (Canadian Citizens) in Canada. I feel I had provided all the documents required if not more.
Can anyone suggest anywhere else I can send an appeal in case the Canadian visa officers are not helpful?
I think it would be a waste of 70 dollars to reapply if they dont tell me what was missing from my application / documents. Don't you think they should atleast have an interview?

Go to the Canadian embassy or consulate nearest you and reapply.
Include any recommendations or personal letters of reference from persons in Canada.
If you are able to demonstrate reliable return air passage and an address of an individual in Canada that can relay messages to you, you should have little problems.
Be sure to include your history of previous visits to Canada with supporting documentation.
If you have family or someone that can act as a sponsor who lives in Canada, ask them for a reference.
Finally, ask for a written evaluation of your last application. perhaps you have been confused with someone else .
By all means appeal.
It sounds to me as if your application has been declined in error.
Good luck!

Like the US, Canadian consular officers have the discretion to refuse any visa applicant who does not convince them that he or she will visit Canada for a short time and then immediately return home. They, like us, do not deliver visas on the basis of documents, but upon the strength of the application and/or interview. Why is it so important to visit Canada? Seeing your relatives is not a good reason - airplanes fly both ways.

Security has tightened up recently, thanks to a bit of unrest here and there (like finding terrorists with bomb ingredients in Ontario, nothing to be afraid of...)
Try the appeal. It may be just a paperwork glitch, or it could be that your country of origin is under scrutiny right now...
