  • Which song video has a man playing a guitar slowly floating in the air?

Unfortunately I don't remember the lyrics but here are some facts that I do recall that may help:

    1. White male artist (mid 20s at the time with dark brown hair I think) playing guitar and singing in an alley (day time). The alley is closed off by a wired gate (not 100% sure). It's his debut single. Most likely pop. It's not a band, just one guy.

    2. As he continues to play, he starts to float up in the air. His feet are lifted off the ground a few inches and then eventually a few feet.

    3. As the music gets louder (there may have been wind blowing because of the increasing volume coming out of the speakers), a crowd starts to gather and towards the end of the video a girl is trying to get to the guy by making her way through the crowd. I think she's also looking at her mobile at some point, maybe calling friends to come.

    4. Video probably ends with an aerial shot of the guy and the crowd.

    5. The video was probably released late 90s, early 2000s. Like 98 - 2003.

    6. I think he may have been wearing a plaid shirt and blue jeans but I'm not 100% sure.

I know it's tough and I don't have much to go on but if you can figure it out, I'll choose you as best answer, guaranteed. Even if you aren't sure, I welcome your guesses. It might help me figure out who it was.

  • Anyone know the name of this fiction horror book of the 90s, perhaps with the word "green" in title?

There's a book I had read in the 90s. The cover had a picture of a window through which a creepy tree branch was trying to get in the bedroom of a boy. The story was about twin brothers, one who was born without legs but would run about on his arms. Their grandfather would tell them stories about green ghostly creatures who would steal bodies of humans because they wanted to know what it feels like to taste, smell, etc. But they preferred humans who could see them so they wouldn't feel lonely and the twin with the intact legs could. His brother was playful and doesn't believe in the story but one day ends up in the grips of the creatures who take over his body. First signs of his twin being taken over are that the twin is obsessed with tasting different things but the twin turns evil and even murders his brother's girl friend as they turn older. Later he believes his twin has died. Years pass and the brother returns back home with his daughter and son only to find that his evil twin is still alive and torturing his family.

The only thing I remember is that there might be green in the title of the book, but I could be wrong. Anyone know which book I'm talking about?

  • Canadian Visa problem, any suggestion? 10 points for best answer!?

I applied for a Canadian visa (tourist visa, single entry) recently and got rejected. They gave the reason that they didn't think I will leave Canada. I have never been rejected any visa before. I have a valid US and UK visa. I submitted all the documents necessary including proof of funds and my return tickets as proof of return. I really feel I have been dealt with unjustly. I am considering an appeal. They didn't even have an interview so that we can know what other documents they require as proof.

I don't know what else I can do to prove that I am really a tourist and not planning to overstay my visit. Can anyone give me some suggestions?

PS: I have been to Canada once before on a tourist visa and returned before my visa expired. I have no criminal record either.

  • Anyone know this song by Nancy Ajram "Ana yally behebek yally ana" in the Damas ad?

I heard this song on Damas' ad for Farfasha collection and found it pretty catchy. Unfortunately, I don't understand Arabic to go through Arabic music sites and figure it out. Can anyone tell me the title (without the 3 7 etc that Arabs usually use while writing) of the song so that I can download it?

Anyone who can give me the Arabic lyrics (transliteration) and english translation will get selected as best answer!

    Thanks in advance!

(Please no nonsense answers. If you dont know what I'm talking about move on!)

  • Do Indian Sardars (Sikhs) ever get bald?

For those who don't know, Sardars are a community in India who are forbidden to cut their hair (men and women). I've never seen a bald Sardar. Or maybe a bald Sikh wouldn't wear a turban in the first place? Only relevant answers please!

  • Do any of the muslims have true jinn stories?

I have heard a few from my friends. One friend told me about the time when she and her cousins were sleeping at night. She was suddenly awoken and she saw her sister in the doorway just standing there. She got up and asked her what happened, but her sister didn't say anything. She told her sister that she should sleep as it is very late in the night and they both came inside the room. She lay back down and closed her eyes and drifted off. In the morning she got up and asked her sister what she was doing at night. The sister had no idea what my friend was talking about. She had been sleeping the whole night. This really scared my friend and much later when she narated it to her mother, she was informed about jinns inhabiting the old house.
