Do Indian Sardars (Sikhs) ever get bald?
For those who don't know, Sardars are a community in India who are forbidden to cut their hair (men and women). I've never seen a bald Sardar. Or maybe a bald Sikh wouldn't wear a turban in the first place? Only relevant answers please!
To disdained: How would I know about bald sardars if they keep their heads covered? And as you can see I'm not the only one who wondered that. You should grow up and learn to answer questions without insulting. The point of this website is to reduce ignorance and be bold enough to ask a question. Something that seems stupid to you may not be to another.
And if you paid enough attention while reading my question then you would notice that I asked if a bald Sikh would wear a turban in the first place? Something that may be obvious to you may not be so to another. And another thing, if my question irritates you, please dont bother answering them. And have the guts to allow people to contact you and take criticism like you dish out.

Well baldness is not limited to certain religions! In that sense, its pretty secular.
I have a friend whose half bald( typical male pattern baldness), and a surd, and he wears a turban. Obviously he's not going to remove the rest of his hair! And he'd look pretty silly without a turban.
Indian Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh is also going bald, what with the tensions of running a country of 1 billion and growing.
He also wears a turban.Perhaps they don't like giving up turbans because they have worn turbans all their lives. And now don't want to give up.

Yuvraj is a Jatt Sikh just like me. He can wear a turban if he wants. I don't have long hair too but I'm a Sikh so its not necessary for all Sikhs to wear turban(or "patka", as RIP said). Its a choice. Harbhajan and Harmeet have chosen to wear Patka but Yuvraj hasn't. Though I should tell you it doesn't make you any less of a Sikh if you don't wear turban. More important is that you follow the holy book of Sikhism Guru Granth Sahib and follow the good teachings. But people who wear turban can be identified more easily that they are Sikh, just that. Dhoni and RP are Rajputs, they also can have the surname "Singh" but are not Sikh so they can't wear turban. Other Sikh cricketers who have been in Indian team are Navjot Singh Sidhu, Bishan Singh Bedi, Maninder Singh etc.

What an idiotic question to ask!!!Should one laugh or just get p***ed off at your ignorance? hell whats the world coming to....
but hey its 2 points........sardars are also human, they also have sufferers of allopicia/baldness just like other men from other communities. Just because some sikhs choose to wear a turban does not mean that they are aliens.
Just because you have never seen a bald sikh guy, doesent mean they dont exist!

Maybe that is why they started wearing the turbans in the first place--so no one would see when they do go bald.
