What do you think of the new Y!Answers?

I'm mixed.

I like the ability to rate questions and individual answers. There have definitely been times I've wanted to give a thumbs up for a great question; and, there have certainly been times where I've wanted to give thumbs down to a question that doesn't make sense/isn't readable. And, sometimes I would like to be able to give thumbs down to answers that are completely wrong, so I can warn the questioner. Also, I like the email option.

However, I don't like that we eliminated the points for ratings. I still think we should be able to give (and receive) thumbs up for best answers. Those who give great answers should be awarded with them. Plus, it's not really fair for people who have been here for a shorter period of time vs. old timers that have gotten those in the past. I hope they reinstate this feature. I'm a bit fearful that the unintended consequence is that people won't be spending as much time in discovery mode.

On the plus side, though, maybe it will lead to more voting (which is really needed since there are over 600,000 questions in voting).

I like the new look and the ability not only to rate questions but also other peoples answers. The person level shown is nice but it would be nice for us users to choose to disclose or not. The saddest part is that we don't earn any points for rating or receiving ratings. Now that's a big shame.

i think its cool. i like rating other peoples answers even though it would be more fun if we got points for doing so.

Well, I just started a few days ago. But so far it's pretty neat. I also think that rating is alittle wierd, but if it can up my points I guess it's not a big deal!!!

I like the fact you can rate stupid questions... Some are just soooo annoying.,.. Not this one tho xxxx

I think it is an awesome idea....we can see who is at what level..and rate their question and answer

be patient,, when someone give u a rating best answer,, u will got the point,, but plz till then help others finding thier goals,, thanx

Daily limit can be liberalized

I hate it that there is a daily limit for everything...
