He'll have a good season as long as he quits trying to force the ball down the field. He's got to come to terms with the fact that he's not 30 anymore, and he doesn't have very good talent at receiver. He can't just bomb the ball down the field every time to try to make something happen. I like Favre, but watching him last season showed me what overconfidence can do. I think he still has another good season left in him. Green Bay really needed Javon Walker this season. Crazy for letting him get away.

I think Brett Favre has had a Hall of Fame career but should have retired at the end of last season. It depends on what you call a good season. I think Favre will struggle in 2006 and this should be his last season. You hate to see such a fantastic player hang on for the money when his skills have faded. I actually hope I'm wrong about this.

Yes, I hope so. I'm not a fan of the Packers but I love Brett Favre and respect the heck out of him as a quarterback. The guy is a class act.

With as many question marks the Packers have going into this season, a good season from Brett Farve will be if he gets to week 17 with ten fingers, ten toes and all four extremities still attached. Otherwise, statistically it could be another long season in Wisconsin.

Then again, they do play in the NFC Central where anything is possible when the rest of your division is pretty weak.

Biggest aquisition of the Pack this offseason is Charles Woodson. Give me a break.

    Should have retired Brett.

I'm not a big football person but certainly can appreciate Brett Favre as a competitor and his contributions to the game. For his sake I hope its a banner year..

No. It's going to be 16 weeks of abuse, with Brett's only consolation being the undying love and lust shown for him by John Madden, who will mention him at least 14 times during every Sunday night game (cube that number if the Packers are actually playing that game).

I think Favre will do the best he can with what he has. He hates to lose and he will put his team in the best possible position to win, but it's going to be up to everyone else to secure the wins.

His numbers will be similar to 1999, which was his first season after Mike Holmgren left and the first time he felt like he had to win every game himself.

He completed just 57 percent of his passes that year but threw for 4,000 yards. He had 20 TDs and 23 INTs that year.

are you talking fantasy football season or being an a good NFL QB. I dont think he will be a good NFL QB he makes too many mistakes and not enough talent around him. But Fantasy wise he will be decent because he will be forced to throw a lot since they will probably be losing most games.

He'll have a better season than last year, but honestly, get the poor guy some receivers that can hold on to the ball.
