How can we cure this disease known as terrorism/violence?

You have to educate the children, first of all, because they are tomorrow's leaders. Children that are taught love, respect and compassion will grow up that way hopefully and continue to pass that on.

2nd, the only way to eradicate hate is thru love, that's it.

but people don't want to hear that, even though it's true, it's the law of the universe.

3rd people have been brain-washed to the point of no return for some of them, and i don't know how to fix that large scale but locking people up who are ready to die for any reason does not work, we need to find out how to safely re-program someone and that is not through torture and doping people with meds all the time, more people need to protest non-violently, no matter what, until the people in charge are compelled to listen. we also need to stop electing people that are going to do whatever they want once they get in office. people that are against terrorism and violence need to start running for office, and change the way things are being done. if more people that are compassionate and honest and against war ran, then they could displace all these greedy, crazy war-mongerers

There will only be peace through victory, as has been proven through history. Cease fires only allow people to regroup and get stronger for the next attack.

War is NOT wrong when a country defends itself.

It annoys the hell out of me when the comparison is made of people who intentionally kill innocent women and children, and people who, by defending themselves, kill the terrorists. Granted innocent civilians may be harmed while going after terrorists, but it is not intentional. It is because the terrorists hide behind them.

The governments of the countries where terrorists reside and train should handle the problem, but they don't. Which only means they condone them.

It would be great if there were no more war and everything was as in fairy tales, but unfortunatly this is the real world.

I agree with you that war is a terrible thing; however, sometimes war is necessary.

For example, I live in Israel, and we have the choice of sitting around getting bombed to death and watching our homes turn into a pile of rubble, or fighting against the Hezbollah.

It is a terrible choice, since more fighting leads to more deaths, including the deaths of the innocent civilians behind which the Hezbollah is hiding, but the other choice is our destruction and our children's destruction.

War becomes a existential necessity.

Likewise, if you knew 100% for sure that your enemy was developing nuclear weapons, and your enemy had stated many times over that they wanted to destroy you, what would you do?

this is not about east vs west... We sane people must get together and do our bit for peace. we must also realise that today we have reached a point where we can end our 'species'. Each thinks his 'cause' justifies the 'war'. Sad but true. There is no right or wrong here, each side thinks he is right and the other wrong. Cheap political gimmics mean power, and i guess this is what is the driving force, not religion nor anything else.

We should get together and have consensus in the belief that what is happening is wrong. And voice our opinion (for whatever it is worth)

I agree with you, confucious. The US military has killed more than 200,000 innocent civilians in Iraq. And, they have to nerve to put Sadaam Hussein on trial for "atrocities".

The "terrorists" are anyone who imposes an oppressive, imperialistic government. The ANC and Nelson Mandela were labeled "terrorists" by the apartheid government in S.A. The French Resistance were "terrorists" to the Nazis. Anybody who opposes the invaders, or the imperialists are labeled "terrorists". These are people who are so fed up with being pushed around, that they are willing to die to stand up for themselves. The Palestinians use to have a nationm, but the Israelis took it from them, defeated them with US weapons, and force them to live like prisoners in their own land. And when they continue to fight back, to reclaim their nation, they are labeled "terrorists". You seem like a well intended, intelligent person, but I think that you are very uninformed about the geo politics of the world. You seem to think that on your side of this (USA), everyone is behaving right, and it's those other fanatics who are acting crazy. But that's because you are listening to, and believing the hype from the government and the mass media who spread and validate it.

The "terrorists" are not self destructive, the gov't of the US, and their puppets are destroying them. The CIA plans and organizes almost all of the wars and hostilities in the world. War is very profitable, and presents great opportunites for increasing power, wealth, and the notion of "security". When a nation or it's leader attempts to stand up for their nation, and do what's in the nation's interest and not in the interest of US corporations and their gov't (because it belongs to the corporations), they are targetted, demonized, and eventually destroyed. Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, North Korea, Castro, Iran, all of these nations are doing what's best for their country, but your gov't, through the news media, labels them as "rouges" and "leftist". If they don't follow the instructions of the US gov't, then they are labeled evil and wrong. Then the American poeple, who have been preconditioned to identify these words as "anti American", take up an unfounded hostile position against the nations, and also call them "terrorists". Most people have become mind controlled sheep, and don't even know it. But you don't have to be.

When we realise that terrorism and persecution go hand in hand, we will recognise that it takes two sides to start a war. Have's and have nots can generally live side by side until the have not's situation deteriorates.

It is inevitable that if you put intolerable pressure on a person (or group of people), they will react with normal human reactions.

The question we should ask is how can we cure the disease called global inequality?

Definitely the physique cures it can be own self. Medicine just offers the body a lift to velocity up the method. Such as there's no healing for the normal cold, but it goes away. That is when you consider that the physique is the treatment. Remedy is simplest a lift for the immune method.
