Why did the WORLD .......?

It's always been that way. Just now we are more in touch with the rest of the world through transportation and media so we hear about it more.

You do know that the world didn't JUST become violent,right. For Centuries, the world has been a very violent place. If anything, the world has come to give compassion to people in need. More so than in the past. The proof of this is simple. Women. We used to be treated with much less respect than these days. Women were used and thrown away. Of course there are still places on this Earth that those same things are happening . Women have more rights today. To Vote is one. The government isn't perfect, but it does protect people from things that used to happen everyday. I will admit that today we do have a greater capacity to cause greater destruction all at once, then they did in the past. There was much more bloodshed in the Wars that happened in the past then the ones that We witnessed.

Because of fear. Human beings feel threatened so easily, specially when the base their sense of worth upon the standards of living they have created over generations.

Fear is triggered by the uncertainty of the future and/or the presence of the different: the dissident, the displaced or outcast, the stranger, the foreigner... whoever or whatever makes the slightest dent on their landscape of uniformity.

Study your history. The world used to be much MORE violent. At least now a few countries are making attempts at world peace instead of world domination.

As we get older, we can see more of the frailties and problems in our world. This makes it seem as if it were worse than before. But unfortunately, the same people have been greedy, violent, cruel and inhuman all along.

Cuase people want to live the way they want to live. If governments stop tryin to impose their ways of life on other's, the world would be a nicer place.

i wish i knew! its bad when the airport security is so bad they dont even trust baby formula! what is the world comng to? are we oneday not going to be able to go outside without a bullet proof vest on? i mean there is to much violence now adays in the news and all that it makes you wonder about why people do such thngs? are they just nuckin futs or somethin?!?

at least in third world or underdeveloped countries---i think because of lack of hope. some young people are taught by those they look up to, or poor excuses for community leaders, that the only way to be a success or bring pride to their family name is to blow themselves up. if they do it, their families are honored and paid significant sums of money. if they had jobs, hope for gain, or goals, they would tell the radicals "screw you, i want to see my kids grow up, or i want to be around to teach my kids that there are ways to live with honor and love and respect for others, or i want to be an effective community member or, i have a job!"

I believe this started once FIRE was created someone started COOKING with it and it pissed someone else off cuz they ate raw food. Hence the quest for fire which was abscially the CONQUEST for fire
