I think they should stick to the original deal.

I think a good parent will give more than they have to because it is for the child. When you make children they should be the primary concern in your life. Too many people put the value of their children much less than is right. Whenever I hear people complain about child support I remind them how happy they were to make the child. Well the child can not take care of itself and either You do it or pay to have it done. I kept my children with me when I got my divorce and they did well and finished college on what I earned. The mother helped them now and then with little things but I did not ask for anything from her.

I think it depends on what the original deal was based on, don't you? If the original was based on a very low wage, then I think it should be raised to a fair market value somewhere along the line. Here in OC, CA, the average per month is 750 per child...that is fair. It cost lots to house, feed, and care for a child. Good luck

Child support is intended for the kids. Their needs change over time. As they grow their needs grow with them.

Depending on where do you live, it is more likely that child support can be revised at pre set intervals, for instance, once every three or four years, but there are exceptions (illnesses, deaths, education), also major changes in any of the parties involved (child, custodial parent, supporting parent) life, income, must be considered.

I know it is a rotten deal, marrying a man that has child support responsibilities implies all this. You have my sympathies. God Bless.

Uh, yes. Don't kids deserve an equal better standard of living as the parent?

I don't think it should be automatic, but as things get more expensive support should go up some. Its only fair since you are partly responsible financially. Unfortunate, some use this as an excuss to make trouble for their former spouse.

Depends on how much the raise was. You'll have to pay for an attorney. Is it worth it?
