Help - my computer has fallen and it won't get up!?

My very old monitor fell off the edge of the desk last evening (no, I don't know how) and the moveable base broke off. It's in two pieces. I tried to put it back together, but just can't seem to fix it. Does anyone know how to put the pieces back togther again? No comments from you "moron guy".

Three possibilities that I can think of depending how much weight the broken pieces must hold. Duct tape (that gray, all purpose 2" wide stuff in hardware stores) to hold the pieces together. There have been reports of duct tape repairing everything from garden hoses to WWII airplanes shot up in combat.

Second possibility is a product called JB Weld (also available in hardware stores.) Comes in two tubes, mix equal parts, when cured it forms a cold weld. Reports of JB Weld repairing everything from engine blocks to farm equipment. It's multipurpose and works on a bunch of different materials including plastic.

Final possibility, just replace the monitor. Prices have come down a lot in recent years and you might find a used, working monitor at a computer repair shop or the newspaper classified for less than $20.
