  • My gas furnace isn't working, any suggestions?

The pilot light is on, I checked the breaker and it's on, and I changed the fuse. Help! It's getting colder. I can't call a repair man because I rent and my landlord isn't home.

  • Shouldn't a taco salad have something similar to a taco in it (nachos, taco shells, or something crunchy)?

I just bought a taco salad (because someone on this site made me hungry for one) and it's lettuce and toppings.

  • Does anyone actually believe in the newly found "Gospel of Judas"?

In Matthew 27:3-5, Judas felt guilt over the betrayal of Jesus and tried to return the money. He said he turned over an innocent man, but the preists did not care. He threw the coins in the temple and then hanged himself. When did he have time to write a book?

  • Bi-focal users: how do you get used to these things?

I got bi-focals in December and I'm supposed to wear them all the time. I have only had glasses for two years now - first reading glasses and now these. I just can't get used to them. I'm tripping over things and misjudging distance. What's the key?

  • What do I do with baby mice?

My cat caught an adult mouse yesterday and didn't kill it. I don't believe in killing any of God's critters (unless they're going to eat me), so I put it outside. Now my cat has brought me two tiny baby mice still alive. I don't think they can survive on their own, but I put them outside in a liitle can where I put the adult. Any other suggestions? No, I don't want to feed it to my cat or a snake.

  • Are the staff at Yahoo!Answers going crazy (or are they there)?

I had 33 e-mail messages from Yahoo!Answers this morning stating that my answer was chosen as the best answer. I got really excited about the points boost - then I noticed they were all for the same 3 questions (10 messages for each question). Did anyone else here experience that barrage of e-mails?

  • Medical staff: If my head is completely numb on the left side, why does it still itch so bad?

I had surgery for Occipital Neuralgia almost six weeks ago. The Occipital nerve branches were severed near the C2 and C3 vertebrae. The left side of my head is numb (yes, I am a numbskull) yet it still gets incredibly itchy and since I cannot feel myself scratching my head, I can't get rid of the itch. It's driving me crazy. What causes this (I don't have bugs) and how do I control it? Please help!

  • Do you just hate when NFL teams keep their starters in for most of the game during the early preseason games?

Preseason games are for the most part, supposed to help teams decide which players they will keep (especially the first two games). Why do so many teams keep their starters in the game - risking the chance of them getting hurt? I understand that they want the last two preseason games to be more of a srimmage, so they keep their starters in a little longer. Is there really that much pressure to win a preseason game?

  • Why do some non-Christians feel the need to disprove the beliefs of Christians?

There are so many non-Christians on this site that seem to be Christian haters. Why is it so important to try to prove my beliefs are wrong. They are, in fact, faith-based, so you cannot disprove them. My beliefs in God give me hope and inspiration. They help me to be compassionate, understanding, forgiving, and loving. My beliefs make me a better person - accepting of others. Why can't you let me believe in what I choose and you believe in what you choose?

  • Neuralgia patients only: What treatment options have you tried for Trigeminal and/or Occipital Neuralgias?

I tried Tegretol XR, Neurontin, Lyrica, and finally microvascular decompression surgery for Trigeminal Neuralgia. I needed two more surgeries last year because the titanium plate they put in my head kept shifting. I then developed Occipital Neuralgia from the other surgeries. I recently had the Occipital nerve severed to take away the pain. I continue to have extreme pain in my eye and I'm told that the first surgery may only work for 3-5 years.

  • Has anyone else adopted a wild Mustang from the Bureau of Land Management? How did you train it?

I have a Mustang named "Neehi" (because he's "orange" like Neehi orange soda and he was about knee high when I got him). He got used to me rather quickly and didn't seem to be afraid of anything. I walked him with a leadline after only two days at my house and he was wonderful - a pro at it. When he was three, I started to saddle train him. I put a sack with a little sand in it on his back and let him get used to it. I added more sand every few days. I was able to climb on his back after two weeks of this with no problem. He doesn't like the saddle though. When I try to put it on his back, he bucks and pulls away. Any ideas? I've read about every book out there.
